How You Can Help Us
There are various ways by which you can help us touch the lives of more children with special needs:
You can offer jobs at your workplace for individuals with special needs, without making long-term commitments. Some of our students are willing to undergo training while you assess their suitability.
Staff salaries make up a significant portion of our expenses, leaving limited funds for development. You can sponsor a teacher’s annual salary, starting from Rs. 80,000 per year.
You can donate in cash or kind towards building, equipment, and/or recurring costs. Donations are exempt under section 80G of the Income Tax Act. We also accept international donations—please ask for a wish list of needs.
Each year, some of our students’ artwork is turned into greeting cards, available for purchase at DISHA or by order. Other products made during pre-vocational training are also available for sale.
You can sponsor a child by covering their annual expenses, starting from Rs. 55,000 onwards.
You can support a child by sponsoring their charges, starting from Rs. 29,000 onwards.
If you have time or a special skill, you are welcome to volunteer regularly to assist a child or share your talent with the community.
You can offer short-term respite care for a moderately or severely disabled person, allowing their parents to take a break for a few hours or days.
